FUSHIGI YUUGI
Ok, a lot of people will probably hate me for saying this but I would rather be honest than be a hypocrite. Fushigi Yuugi is one of the most disappointing anime I have ever watched. It had a lot of potential, the premise for the story was good (girl falls into another world via a mysterious book and then is appointed as the priestess who will save the aforementioned world). But instead of beefing up the story and developing the supporting characters, Yuu Watase opted instead to turn what could have been a sweeping-epic type of series into a nauseating love-fest that could have easily passed for a cheesy telenovela.
That being said, you're probably wondering why I bothered to make walls for a series I obviously detest. Well, I had the artbook and as gag-inducing as the show may be--it doesn't mean that it has bad art. On the contrary, Yuu Watase is quite talented (the clothes sometimes leave a little something to be desired though...) and one can't help but be inspired to create something when looking at the pictures. Anyways, there are characters from the series that I happen to love (Tasuki and the Seiryuu twins for instance) so I figured, what's the harm in making a few walls.
The first one actually reminds me of a layout and my sister warned me that some "enterprising" webmaster might grab it and use it as a site graphic. Oh well. The middle one...erm...well, it has no definite theme--I just wanted the Suzaku boys on one wall ^.^ The last one is my favorite, because I just adore Yui's priestess outfit and I like the background I did for the wall, and yeah--the colors are pretty.
